A friendly advice before hiring a tourism service!Despite the Bolivian regulatory framework setting that only legal companies must serve tourists, it is common to find unauthorized travel operators working and advertising themselves normally. Signing up with non legal company may get you a low quality service, being cheated or left alone if some emergency arised.
Verify the company whose service you are going to hire has al least:
"Registro de Funcionamiento de Operadora de Turismo Receptivo" Prefectura de La Paz. This document is CORE. If the company is not able display this yellow authorization on their office walls, it is better to walk away, whatever you are promised.
